Massive corporations have to work hard to remain likable to ordinary customers. When you study recent rebranding efforts from Amazon, Walmart, and CVS, clear patterns emerge. Once you see their playbook, you’ll see clearly how other large companies move in the same direction.
What we cover in this video:
- Humans are charmed by simple icons of smiles, sunshine, and hearts. You may want to think we are more complex than that, but when billion dollar companies make a big bet, they never bet against these shapes.
- Humans like circles. We covered this in another video, and we see it true here.
- Humans like blue and green more than any other colors. We appreciate yellow when used carefully.
- CVS is working hard to be likable, and has taken inspiration from lifestyle brands like Apple and Starbucks.
