Lead Designer

Overview: As the Lead Designer at our design and marketing firm, you will spearhead creative initiatives, oversee design projects, and guide a team of talented designers. Your role will involve collaborating closely with clients, understanding their needs, and translating concepts into innovative visual solutions. You’ll be responsible for maintaining design excellence, ensuring brand consistency, and delivering high-quality work that aligns with client objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Provide creative direction and leadership to the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Mentor junior designers, offering guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketers, developers, and clients to deliver cohesive design solutions.
- Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements. Translate client briefs into compelling visual concepts and present design proposals effectively, incorporating client feedback to refine designs.
- Strategic Thinking: Contribute to the development of design strategies that align with client objectives and market trends. Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging design trends, and technologies to enhance the firm’s offerings.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of design quality, consistency, and brand integrity across all projects. Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of design deliverables to ensure they meet client expectations and project objectives.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in design software and tools, staying proficient in their usage to produce high-quality design deliverables. Provide training and support to team members on new tools and techniques.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design with marketing strategies, ensuring a unified brand experience across various platforms and channels.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: 5-10 of experience in graphic design or related fields, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects and leadership abilities.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in leading design teams, managing projects, and guiding creative initiatives.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and create innovative solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field (preferred).

Job Summary / Objective
We are seeking a talented and creative Website Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites. This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals with a passion for design and a desire to grow in their career. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in web design principles, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a strong desire to learn and develop their skills.
Education and Experience: Two years of experience as a website designer is preferred. A degree or diploma in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered. A strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills and previous web design projects is highly desirable.
Skillz
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing designs.
- Experience with WordPress.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
- Basic understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development.

Daily Responsibilities

- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and present design concepts.
- Build WordPress-powered websites with theme frameworks
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure the website functions correctly across various devices and browsers.
- Update and maintain existing websites by making necessary changes and improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, web technologies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other team members, including developers and content creators, to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
