The Story
Fr. John Muir was on a cross-country flight to see his family. Because he is a Roman Catholic priest, he draws a lot of attention on an airplane. (Maybe it’s the Roman collar? Maybe it’s the fact that nobody really likes to fly?) In less than an hour, he found himself in deep, beautiful conversations with new friends. Unfortunately, once the plane landed, the conversation and relationship came to an abrupt halt.
The Problem
Fr. John Muir approached smithHOUSE wanting to create an online platform so that he could continue relationships with the new people that he met each day. In addition, the platform would be an extension of his home parish in Phoenix, Arizona. He didn’t know what he wanted to call it, how it would look, or what he’d put on the website.
But he was passionate, committed, and open to new ideas. We had met a dream client.
The Solution
A fun, approachable website that served up new content every morning. Some mornings, it’s a video. Others it’s the audio from his sermon. On other days it’s a blog or Bible Study.
Most importantly, the tone is warm and loving. It’s the kind of website Fr. Muir can share with someone in line at the airport, or in line at the coffee shop.
