Dealing with Controlling People

October 4, 2019 By Smith House

Control freaks are delusional and unbearable. They think they know how to do everything better than you, and then they demand that you do it their way. So a label of “controlling” is an insult—especially in the workplace.

But know that there are 2 VERY DIFFERENT types of controlling.  You owe it to yourself to know the difference, and know how to deal with each.

BONUS: I’ve found that those who label you as being “controlling” are in fact the most controlling people.  They are pleading you to be reasonable, let go what you control, and then give control to them.
